I am a Registered and Credentialed Mental Health Nurse (through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses Inc. respectively) and accredited Mental Health First Aid instructor with 30 years experience counselling, talking with people and their families, and educating people who have or work with people living with health and mental health issues.

Throughout my career I have been lucky to share my vast experience working as a facilitator, educator and lecturer with Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University Schools of Nursing, and in various educational and project roles within Queensland Health.

I approach workshops in a down to earth way and use easy to understand no-nonsense language. I have a knack for getting down into the 'nitty-gritty' of your issues very quickly and effectively. Then we can work together to improve your understanding of mental health.

My approach to workshops is based on your needs, drawing from my knowledge and experience.

I have extensive experience within both the traditional lecture-style educational technique, facilitation of small groups and the problem based educational perspective. I enjoy all modes of learning and can adapt the style to the group's needs.
